Standing on your head can be super fun.

But it’s not to be taken lightly, y’all.

Standing on your head can also be super dangerous... The vertebra in your neck are small and delicate - not meant to support much more weight than your head.

Plus there’s very little space between the vertebra for important nerves to pass, like the nerves that feed your arms, hands, chest, diaphragm and upper back.

Even the slightest compression in the neck can pinch these nerves and cause major problems with a ton of pain.

When standing on your head, it’s incredibly important to hold your body weight UP and out of the neck.

This requires upper body strength, core stabilization, and proper alignment.

Knowledgeable supervision is essential when you’re first learning

And if you’re wondering about the no hands headstand that’s all the rage these days... it’s CRAZY!!!!

So dangerous I literally shiver every time I see it.

Please please please don’t try that at home!

I hope this is helpful y’all!

always with love, Dr. Corinne
